How to choose a personalised football scarf

A good scarf comes down to three decisions: the technique, the colours and the wording.

1. Pick the technique for the job

For a scarf worn on the terrace through the winter, a knitted jacquard scarf is hard to beat: double-layer knit, warm and practically indestructible. If your badge is detailed, HD jacquard keeps the detail thanks to its finer stitch. For a company logo that has to match brand guidelines, an HD woven scarf gives the crispest edges. For a photo, a gradient or a summer event, go for a printed satin scarf. Want a different message on each side? Look at a double-sided scarf; for a premium finish, an embroidered badge.

2. Colours that stand out

A scarf is seen from across the ground. Pair a dark colour with a light one, such as navy and white, claret and sky blue or black and amber, rather than two similar shades. Classic jacquard is limited to three colours, and two strong contrasting colours are often all you need.

3. Short, punchy wording

The club name, a motto, a founding year: the text should read at a glance. Aim for around fifteen characters in classic jacquard, and up to about 25 in HD jacquard. The configurator warns you if your text is too long.

  • Club scarf budget

    A club scarf budget comes down to two things: the technique and the quantity. Prices are per scarf, ex VAT and excluding delivery, and they drop at 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 pieces. Add any extras, check the next tier up, and plan resale before you order.

  • Design a football scarf

    To design a football scarf, pick a technique, set your colours, wording and crest in the configurator, choose a quantity (50 minimum) and approve the free design proof. Production then takes 4–6 weeks.

  • Jacquard vs woven

    Knitted jacquard is thick, warm and the classic terrace scarf; HD woven is thin, very sharp and can carry a different design on each side. HD jacquard and printed satin sit in between, for detailed crests and photo artwork.

What is a design proof?

It is the final artwork for your scarf, prepared by our designer from your design. You approve it or ask for changes; nothing is made without your sign-off.

4 to 6 weeks from proof approval, delivery included. An express option is available if you are up against a fixture or a cup final.

What is the difference between knitted, woven and satin scarves?

Jacquard is knitted: thick, warm and the classic terrace look. HD woven is thin and very sharp, with up to 8 colours. Satin is printed by sublimation: any colour, photos included, but not as warm.

Can we put our club badge on the scarf?

Yes, you can use your own club, school or organisation badge. We do not reproduce third-party trademarks or logos (leagues, professional clubs, sponsors) without written permission.
